Introduction

My name is Pam and I am a burgerholic. If there was a such thing as Cheeseburgerholics Anonymous, I would be a member (actually, I probably wouldn't, because I don't want to end my addiction).

I could probably eat burgers for dinner 7 nights a week and never get tired of them (in fact, that's exactly what I did for a number of years, which is what got me up to 205 pounds at one point).

So, here's the thing. I discovered running, which allows me to indulge myself at least a couple times a week and eat my favorite food. I'm down to a perfectly acceptable 130 pounds now and running 4 days a week, so I can now embark on my quest for Toronto's best burger without risking putting all the weight back on.

I haven't quite decided the parameters of my search... do I just focus on beef burgers or try turkey burgers/veggie burgers etc. as well? Do I just looks for the best tasting patty or go for the best "total burger experience"?

I think my goal is going to find the best burger overall but I'll be sure to post all the details of each one I try.

I am wiping my burger tasting slate clean at this point... I may have tried burgers from some of the potential finalists before but I'm going to pretend I haven't.

I'm aiming for one burger a month but will probably end up with more...
